Latin American countries are joined not only for language affinity, the cultural and historical identity and a productive commercial relation, but also, in the particular case of port industry, there is a great interest in boosting the so necessary development of our foreign commerce. In order to achieve it, the Latin American Association of Ports and Terminals , LATINPORTS, arises from the necessity of strengthening the relations between the public and the private sector of each one of our countries and between of those of the region in general, with the purpose of, through an harmonic and responsible combined work, placing our ports and terminals at an international competitive level which supports our development.

As driving forces and spokespersons of the Latin American public-private relation in the port sector, we hope, by this means, to achieve an effective communication with all of you, being your support in order to reach your purposes and serving as a referent to those countries which are still in an opening process.
